after an mvp-like season for the townsville crocodiles that brought him the interesting aka “import stand out”, corey “homicide” williams (only player to make top ten in points, assists and steals per game) and his signature187’s, will be back in the australian nbl next season!

this weekend kareem reid’s french squad bourg en bresse had a big overtime win vs. evreux. “big game” (who is averaging 18 points over the last five games) scored a team-high 18 points and nailed 57% of his field goal attempts from inside the arc.
the bourg ballers have now won 6 out of their last 7 games! they are ranked first but the second and third seeded teams are only one and two games back respectively. the playoffs are 3 gamedays away and it looks like the best kept secret is ready for some more big games.

Parkersburg, WV showed K1X and Hustle Up crazy love. The West Va. All-stars kept the game close behind a strong showing from local baller “Polar Bear” aka the “Dirty Lumberjack”, but once Hustle Up turned it up it was over. The final score was 148:110. Springs had an impressive game, displaying an array of crossovers and crazy breakaway dunks. Hot sauce heated up in the second half and caught a couple ankles, while Irv “I’ll be right back” Opong looked good with crazy lob passes in his first game back from knee surgery.
Oh yeah, let’s not forget Joe Pope on the mic with the crazy ass play by play. He is the perfect combo of Katt Williams and Marv Albert!
Next stops: st. marys university (mn) on the 27th, bemidji state university on the 29th and southwest minnesota state university on april 30th.

the Hustle Up Streetball Tour will hit Parkersburg, WV tonight at 7pm and take on the areas best ballers at Parkersburg High School. The squad features K1X warriors such as High-Rizer, A-Money and Ghost. US Marketing Director C-Viz has made the trip down from New York and will be in the house scouting new talent to add to the K1X family for this summer’s nationwide take-over of the US streetball scene.

German hoops company k1x, best known for their classic Chiefglider, is set to introduce its newest performance kicks: the 187 – a tribute to streetball legend Corey “Homicide” Williams.
For those not in the know, Williams, native to the Bronx, earned his cred through his steady and solid hoops skills, not through tricks. Putting up victories is where he excelled. Williams wrecked havoc in Australia this season for the NBL’s Townsville Crocodiles, and he will be playing with Team k1x when he returns to the States this summer.
As for the 187, it is a full-fledged performance machine. In the forefoot, it features k1x’s patented W.H.U.I.T.A. (Way High Up In The Air) spring pad, which was engineered to provide ideal energy conversion in your jump. It features k1x’s well-known wide and low stance, which aids in court feel while simultaneously assisting with ankle support. Using an exclusive rubber blend, grip comes courtesy of their Traction Tech outsole. Rounding out the package is a snug fitting lacing system and a memory foam collar for maximum lockdown and comfort. Also, while not performance based, are hidden messages and accolades of Homicide himself.
Williams has also been known to go by the moniker “the Silver Surfer,” but for some reason we think k1x went with the right nickname for the shoe. The “Surfboard” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. The 187 launches exclusively at selected Foot Lockers late May in the U.S.
